As some of you may know, due to environmental concerns, we are in the process of phasing out palm oils in our products.
While we have always sourced palm oils from members of the round-table for sustainable palm production, there still exists too many problems associated with palm production, mainly deforestation.
To make way for more larger palm plantations, acres of rain forest are being destroyed resulting in loss of wildlife habitat and loss of livelihood for indigenous peoples.(for more information: ucsusa.org and worldwatch.org)
For us to continue using palm oils in our products would contribute to the problem.
We have reformulated our products and plan to be palm free by the beginning of the next year.
We hope that you will continue to use and enjoy our products.
Thank You for your support.

The Truth about oils used in soapmaking
Don't fall victim to scare tactics used by soap-makers that use cheap filler oils. Used in the correct proportions, tropical oils provide superior cleaning and lather than filler oils such as soybean. Our soaps are made of olive oil, coconut and shea butter our blend of oils create a luxurious lather that leaves your skin feeling clean and conditioned.

Essential Oils vs Fragrance Oils
What is the difference?
Essential Oils are derived exclusively from plant material where as fragrance oils are synthetically produced. Why is this important? Some fragrance oils can have impact on your health (allergic reactions for example). That's why we only use pure essential oils. Beware of soap-makers who pretend making natural soap when they are in fact using artificial fragrances (always ask a soap-maker what is in his/her soap). The same is to say about colorants in soaps. Our soaps do not contain any dye, or colorants, only botanicals. No swirling or sparkling soaps here! |
